CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR RYT'S
THE ART OF HANDS-ON ADJUSTMENTS (IN-PERSON)
2022 dates TBD
If you've trained with me, you know how passionate I am about hands-on adjustments. I believe that they should be a LAST RESORT however, if they are to be used, they should be done in a way that is skillful and respectful.
This is such an under-discussed area of teaching Yoga and with the world slowly returning to normal I think now is a great time to refresh our knowledge in this area before returning to teaching in-person and performing adjustments. I've put together a comprehensive course that covers all things adjustments.
This course will be a two-day weekend experience (with Yoga Alliance recordable training hours for RYT's) that will cover:
1) The do's and don'ts of hands-on adjustments.
2) The importance of verbal cues and how to execute them properly.
3) Trauma, the nervous system and why some individuals prefer to not be touched.
4) When/how touch can be helpful.
5) My complete sequence of safe hands-on adjustments (Yang and Restorative) which you will learn and perform to complete the course.

Kylie is the owner and founder of Omology Yoga. She has completed yoga teacher trainings at the 200 and 300 hour level and has more than 10 years of experience practicing yoga and thousands of teaching hours.
Passionate about empowering yoga teachers to share from a place of confidence, compassion and authenticity, she hopes that this course will help teachers to feel more knowledgable about the uses and impacts of hands-on adjustments, as well as alternative methods to touch, so that they can discern where and when these methods should be applied in their own teaching and feel confident delivering them in the moment.
