Frequently Asked Questions: Studio Classes

1. I'm new to yoga. Which classes are best suited for beginners?

First of all, welcome New Yogi! We are so excited to have you join us.

The following classes would be a great start:

  • Flow 101

  • Flow/Yin

  • Yin

We also recommend that you try out our "Introductory Month Special" for New Yogis. This pass will give you ONE WHOLE MONTH! of unlimited yoga and plenty of opportunities to explore all of the different yoga classes to find what suits you best! Check out our "Pricing" page for more details.

2. Can I purchase a package online?

 

Yes, all of our packages are available for purchase online.

3.Do I need to pre-book my class?

Our classes can be booked online with via our website "Studio Class Schedule" page. We recommend that all students (both new and returning) pre-book their spot in class as spaces are limited. We also advise that all students try to arrive for class 10-15 minutes early to sign in and get settled. PLEASE NOTE: reserved spots will be held until 5 minutes before class at which point they will be given away to any yogis on the waitlist.

4.Cancellation/No-Show Policy

No-Shows or Cancellations made within six hours or less of the scheduled class start time will result in the loss of one (1) class credit for students using a Drop-in, 5, 10 or 25 class package. Students on a monthly unlimited plan will be charged a fee of RM40 which will need to be settled prior to attending another class. PLEASE NOTE: we do not accept cancellations or changes to bookings via email or telephone. We ask that each Yogi takes responsibility for their own bookings and account.

5.Settling a Cancellation Fee

If you have received a cancellation fee, your account will be temporarily disabled from booking any further classes. You will need to settle the fee of RM40 which can be found in your "Cart" once you've logged in to your account. From here you can simply proceed to Checkout and Payment.

6.Can I share my class package?

No. All of our packages are non-transferrable.

7.I am not flexible. Can I still do yoga?

Of course! Flexibility is not a prerequisite to yoga. It may however be a result of a consistent practice. Yoga can also help to strengthen the body and reconnect with the breath.

8.I have an injury. Can I still do yoga?

Everyone is different so we always recommend that you first consult with your doctor before attending class if you have an injury or medical condition. If you've received the go-ahead from your Doc., then please advise your teacher prior to class so that the appropriate modifications can be given throughout the session. Further, you can always contact us to inquire which classes are better suited for you given your injury/condition.

9.I am pregnant. Can I still do yoga?

We do not offer prenatal classes and do not recommend taking up a group yoga class for the first time during pregnancy. If you practiced yoga prior to pregnancy, we recommend speaking with your doctor to ensure that yoga is still a suitable movement for you and baby. We would also ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes before class to inform your teacher so that he/she can provide you with the appropriate modifications.

10.What should I wear?/What should I bring?

Please wear clothes that you can sweat in and move in comfortably. Bring a water bottle, your yoga mat, a large towel for your mat (recommended for sweaty sessions!), and an open mind.

11. Can class package expiry dates be extended if the credits are unused in time?

No, we do not offer extensions on any of our packages. We ask that each Yogi takes care to log in regularly to the Timetable to monitor the expiry date of any active class credits. *Note: the expiry date of your credits can be found by clicking "Credits" at the top of the drop-down menu (under your user name) after you log in.

12.Are yoga mats available at the studio?

We want you to travel light! Mats, straps, blankets and bolsters are all provided in our space. Yogis are welcome to bring their own mats also and simply place it on top of the mats that are provided in our studio. Note: All props and mats are sanitized after every use with hospital grade sanitizer.

13.Are there shower facilities in the studio?

Yes, we have showers complete with Shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Hairdryers are also available. Towels are available for hire at RM2.00/each.

14.Yoga Etiquette

  • Please arrive at least fifteen minutes before your class to have time for check in

  • Observe silence in the yoga room

  • Do not bring any personal belongings in the yoga room - this includes handphones!! (lockers are provided in the change-rooms for valuables)

  • Listen carefully to the teacher’s instructions

  • Have fun!!

15. SOPs you need to know and follow to curb the spread of COVID 19

  • Please wear a mask at all times once you enter the studio. Masks can be removed once you are safely on your mat.

  • Please allow our front desk to check your temperature (note: temperatures above 37.5 degrees will be refused entry) upon arrival.

  • We require all attendees to check-in on the MySejahtera app and to sanitize with our hospital-grade hand sanitizer upon entry.

  • If you are feeling ill (particularly a fever, sore throat, cough, and cold) or HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH A COVID-19 POSITIVE CASE, please opt for a home practice instead and return once you are feeling better or have quarantined.

  • Use the sanitizers provided.

  • Please practice social distancing at all times whilst being in the studio.

  • Once done, you can take the props you've used and leave it in the basket outside the room for our front desk to sanitize.

  • After class it is recommended that students leave and not loiter for fear of exposure to the COVID 19 virus.

15. What we're doing to curb the spread of COVID 19

  • All staff and teachers are required to wear masks/face shields at all times.

  • Teachers will not be sharing any hands-on adjustments.

  • Our studio door will be opened during our classes to allow for more air ventilation.

  • Sanitizers are stationed around the studio for your use (they're located at the front desk, water filter, and hair-drying station. otherwise, wash your hands with soap and water in the toilet!).

  • The studio class schedule will remain limited to allow for adequate time to sanitize our equipment between classes.

  • All classes are being operated at a reduced capacity and mats are socially distanced.

  • All mats, props, equipment are sanitized after every use with a hospital grade sanitizer.

  • High contact surfaces are sanitized before and after every class turnover.
